Pre-construction Engineer Position Available In Kings, New York

Pre-construction EngineerJob location:

Brooklyn, NYResponsibilities:

Responsible for setting up and maintaining preconstruction project records, ana-lyzing assigned projects, and preparing permits for construction.

Duties include:

maintaining communication with clients/architects to determine needs and representing the company during the pre-construction phase of the project; working with Project Managers on resolving pre-construction RFI’s; working with expeditors companies and directly with the Department of Build-ings (DOB) and (Department of Transportation) DOT on issuing of new building permits and track-ing permit status for ongoing projects; maintaining Projects-Related Inspection Letters for Scaffold and Sidewalk Sheds; resolving construction-based violations (preparing and submitting Certificates of Correction, working with violation lawyers, responsible project managers, foreman, and expedi-tors on violation resolutions); and preparing of Project-Based Structural Calculations, Details (with drafters) for Professional Engineer’s review.

Requirements:

Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engi-neering, or closely related field plus 12 months of experience as a Pre-Construction Engineer or closely related position. Experience which may have been obtained concurrently must include 12 months of experience with resolving pre-construction RFI’s; obtaining new building permits and tracking permit status; and resolving construction-based violations. EOE/40hrs.

$101,878year.
