PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Performsadvanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Powerplant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert toengineers. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellentknowledge in functional discipline and its practical applicationand has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes andregulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide in-depthtechnical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineeringanalysis, activities and programs.
- Provide technical expertiseand consultation through direct involvement and as a subject matterexpert when consulted to identify and resolve equipment and systemproblems.
- Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadershipaccountability regarding short-term and long-term programs thatimpact site operations.
- Perform engineering tasks as assigned bysupervision applying engineering principles.
- Accountable for theaccuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring properconfiguration management and assuring that standard designcriteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparationof plans and specifications.
- Perform independent research,reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects andprograms.
- Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques toimprove performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correctdesign or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes orregulations.
- Perform site development engineering and projectmanagement tasks for commercial projects
- Projects will include avariety of land development site designs
- Assist in monitoringproject progress, budgets, and schedules
- Ability to build plansets and other construction documents
- Design experience thatincludes utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence andpermitting
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS Engineering, and 7 yearsprofessional experience. Minimum 1 year as Engineer 3A.
- Hascompleted assigned skills and knowledge development training(applicable Advanced Engineering, EPRI, and ConstellationUniversity training or industry provided training) to developexpert level of knowledge in designated areas.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers inkey knowledge and skills.
