POSITION SUMMARY

Logistics &Storage Support Services (L3S) is an engineering service andproject management organization comprised of engineering and otherresources that primarily manage project work associated with thepipeline, terminal, and marine organizations within

MPLX. L3S

isseeking a highly motivated Electrical Project Engineer to supportthe Major Projects team. This engineer will manage multipleprojects simultaneously primarily within pipeline and terminalfacilities as well as on mainline pipeline assets. The -ProjectEngineer manages all aspects of assigned projects including projectscope, estimate, schedule, engineering design, equipment andmaterial selection, project bidding, contractor selection,construction oversight, management of change, safety andenvironmental oversight and any other project tasks necessary tocomplete a successful project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage multiple projects of varying magnitude and complexityfrom conception to start-up following the Marathon ProjectManagement Process (MPMP). Develop and maintain working knowledge of pipeline and terminalfacility and mainline equipment and apply it to project design andexecution. Develop and maintain working knowledge and ability to applyengineering standards and regulatory requirements to project designand execution. Collaborate with other departments, subject matter experts,technicians, and vendors to obtain pertinent information tocomplete the planning, design, and execution of proposed projectsas well as working closely with internal and external stakeholdersto obtain construction permits and easements when necessary. Manage project performance to ensure project meets agreedquality, cost and schedule parameters in a safe and environmentallysound manner. Collaborate with Project Controls Specialist on projectadministration (scheduling, estimating, cost management,etc.). Coordinate with Supply Chain in the development of acontracting plan; prepare bid requests and evaluate bids based onsound engineering and business principles. Keep accurate project documentation to ensure all documentationnecessary for DOT compliance is maintained and managed.

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE

Required Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from afour-year accredited college or university.

Work Environment:

travel to field locations or fabricationsites will be required; therefore, a valid driver’s license isrequired.

Communication Skills:

Must have excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills to effectively communicate with all levels ofindividuals/employees.

Work Experience:

3-5 years industry experiencepreferred.

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIRED
