$85,000•100,000 + Benefits Our client, one of the fastest growing construction companies across Carolina and a premier heavy construction and civil firm, who are a leading provider of infrastructure solutions throughout North & South Carolina are looking for multiple Project Engineers. With a strong focus on major construction projects, they specialize in building advanced roads, bridges, railways, and commercial centers. Ideally as a Project Engineer you will already have your EIT or PE license . As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site project administration, scheduling, and engineering functions. This role includes planning, coordinating, and managing construction engineering activities while ensuring effective communication with subcontractors. You will prepare monthly pay estimates, update the project CPM schedule, and manage job budgets, change orders, and cost reports, contributing to the success of heavy/highway projects.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all on-site project administration, including managing the project document control system. Prepare monthly pay estimates and review owner and subcontractor pay estimates prior to management’s approval. Plan, coordinate, and manage construction engineering activities and schedules, working closely with subcontractors. Update and maintain the project schedule and lead regular review meetings. Prepare and coordinate job budgets, change orders, and cost reports for management’s review and approval. Supervise cost report management and lead regular review meetings to ensure budget alignment. Proactively identify issues early, developing solutions to minimize disruptions to project progress. Prepare all required information for presentations at project reviews, ensuring accurate and up-to-date reporting for management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. 5 years of engineering experience in heavy/highway construction, particularly on projects $20M + Familiarity with grading, drainage, paving (asphalt and concrete), bridge construction, retaining walls, and other highway construction scopes. JDEdwards Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders. Strong prioritization, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
