Barge Design Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join a dynamic, collaborative team with a strong commitment to excellence and a diverse range of projects across multiple disciplines. As a Sr. Project Engineer you’ll serve as a technical lead on multiple engineering projects ranging from smaller conventional projects with few complex features to portions of large complex projects.
Responsibilities:
Assist in project scope and budget development, as well as, assisting in project design.
Supports PM providing technical leadership on conventional projects.
Directs EIT and Designers in preparation of project plans.
Designs experiments, interprets, and develops conclusions on complex data.
Writes and reviews engineer specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce various deliverables.
Designs a component or process on a complex project or complete systems on conventional projects.
Responsibility for completing a subset of project documents.
Participate in client meetings, as appropriate.
Conducts on-site visits to monitor progress of project.
Performs other duties as requested.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 or more years of engineering experience.
Registered Professional Engineer.
Ability to adapt quickly and respond effectively to project issues that arise.
Walk, sit, and stand. Occasionally reach with hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Occasionally climb 25-30 feet. Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
