Job Title:
Civil Engineer (PE/EIT) Job Description We are seeking a high-level Civil Engineer to lead projects within our expanding Industrial Division, primarily working within the power sector. This role will evolve into a project management and sales-focused position as you grow in tenure. Responsibilities + Develop and review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance. + Stay informed of updates to standards, regulations, and best practices. + Analyze complex engineering projects to determine design requirements, uncertainties, and constraints. + Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments. + Coordinate the design team’s work through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project. + Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. + Manage workload to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule. + Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines. + Review project documents for areas of conflict with other disciplines. + Write and edit project specifications. + Coordinate with and lead affected disciplines with addenda, requests for information (RFIs), change orders (COs), and incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents. + Provide construction contract administration as needed. + Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on the work of other Engineers, Project Coordinators, Designers, or BIM Technicians as needed. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Civil 3D. + Experience in site development. + Professional Engineer (PE) license. + Strong project management skills. + Knowledge of Autocad Civil 3D. + Civil engineering expertise. + Experience in land development. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Civil Engineering Degree. + 2-3 years of experience as a Professional Engineer (PE). + Experience in the power sector. + Industrial project experience. Work Environment Our team is expanding its support across all disciplines, primarily focusing on industrial work within the power sector, mine layouts, general site grading on aggregate mines, environmental remediation, oil and gas projects, and power substation layout and design. The opportunity to gain experience across industries and disciplines is vast. We offer a hybrid work schedule after the initial few months in the role. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.00 – $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
