Job Description

The Headhunters have been engaged by a privately held manufacturer in the Gallatin, TN area seeking a Project Engineer to support capital investments and equipment reliability at a core production site. This position reports directly to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager and plays a cross-functional role that bridges project execution with plant support. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industrial sectors and is looking for a long-term growth path within a well-run organization. The manager is calm, experienced, and willing to mentor, making this an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming engineer with leadership potential. Compensation includes up to $100K base salary along with bonus and benefits. Relocation support is available. •No H-1B sponsorship at this time Requirements Lead capital projects from scope development through installation, commissioning, and handoff to operations. Support plant reliability initiatives by analyzing recurring failures and implementing engineering solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across maintenance, operations, safety, and external vendors. Participate in budgeting and cost estimation for capital improvements and equipment upgrades. Contribute to facility safety through design assessments and equipment hazard evaluations. Assist in training maintenance staff and contractors on new systems and installations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, required. 3+ years of experience in a heavy industrial environment such as metals, aggregates, foundry, or mining. Background in either project engineering or reliability/maintenance engineering, with a willingness to grow into both areas. Knowledge of construction practices, equipment installation, and process improvement tools. Ability to work across departments and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Familiarity with OSHA and EPA compliance requirements. Strong problem-solving, communication, and hands-on execution skills.
