Maintenance Specialist 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Hillsboro, AL 35643 We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who leads by example, possesses excellent troubleshooting skills, and has at least two years of experience in maintenance operations.

• Must know how to and be capable of safely operating all plant repair tools.
• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, conveyors.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical components such as wiring, circuits, control panels, and PLC systems.
• Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by conducting preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with teams to improve system performance and implement innovative solutions.
• Maintain a highly organized workflow to ensure all maintenance duties meet or exceed operational standards.
• Must be team oriented and able to interact with all levels of plant employees.
• Excellent skills in planning and organizing. Housekeeping skills are essential.
• Must have skills to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical problems within the plant.
• Must be organized and able to keep accurate paperwork and reports.
• Excellent problem-solving skills – ability to understand the complexity of the production process and operation.
• Good communications skills are essential.

Physical:

• Repeated lifting up to 75 lbs
• Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
• Frequent squatting and kneeling
• Good manual dexterity with hands to pick up small parts, use hand tools, etc.
• Good visual acuity

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge:

• Hydraulic/ Pneumatic control systems
• Basic and advanced electrical, electronic troubleshooting
• Basic welding/cutting operations
• Basic technical drawing and have the ability to read prints
• Basic mathematic knowledge
• Basic computer skills

Working Conditions:

Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with a high level of dust (at times).
