Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30

Position Overview:
MEDTHERM

is searching for a detail-orientated calibration technician to join our team. In this role, you will carry out inspections, customer calibration, in-house calibrations, and repairs on highly specialized equipment made by our company. You will also be responsible for identifying faulty equipment and suggesting upgrades when necessary. Additionally, your role will work closely with engineering to identify and implement areas of improvement in the calibration process. It is desired that the applicant have a familiarity with engineering processes to including reading and editing drawings. To be successful as a calibration technician, you should have a good eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and above-average troubleshooting skills. Ability to obtain fundamental understandings of objectives and methodologies to aid in troubleshooting is critical. Ultimately a top-class calibration technician will work quickly and methodically to ensure the equipment is safe for operation and calibrated to the industry standards.

Calibration Technician Responsibilities:

Computer Experience – Working with Microsoft Suite. Performing routine equipment maintenance. Calibrating customer equipment to industry standards Troubleshooting equipment failures. Conducting certain equipment repairs. Assisting in responding to client queries. Suggesting equipment upgrades. Maintaining calibration equipment and supplies. Completing job cards and equipment reports. Updating in-house reports and internal equipment sent for calibration. Clean-up of the Calibration area, organize, and keep clean. Experience working with Quality Management. Working with technicians and management.

Calibration Technician Requirements:

Technical school or associate degree with any additional experience. Experience as a calibration technician, or experience operating test equipment and test instrumentation. Experience with equipment maintenance and repairs Troubleshooting skills Excellent hand-eye coordination Must have the ability to work in a variety of settings Must be willing to work every day 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Safety-conscious mindset Ability to work with technicians and management Competency with Microsoft Suite and Labview are desired Relevant industry certification is a plus

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently walks and occasionally sits. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, including the use of microscopes.
