POSITION SUMMARY

Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to support all areas of manufacturing and the plant.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, and forklifts.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled preventative maintenance as directed.
• Must be able to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Must be able to perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry functions.
• Must be able to work beneath machines, in close quarters and at heights performing analysis and repair work.
• Must be able to order replacement parts and communicate effectively with outside service technicians.
• Keep Operations Manager advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.
• Maintains equipment maintenance records (manual files and computer records).
• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with the Lockout requirements.
• Maintain work area and equipment in clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Trains operators in operation procedures for working safely with electrical/pneumatic tools and other equipment as directed.
• Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
• Work when scheduled and complies with the company attendance policy
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to perform essential duties
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of three years manufacturing maintenance experience
• Prior computer experience required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
