As a member of the operations team, the Senior Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Salary:

$100,000 – $140,000 yr DOE

• Responsibilities
• + 20 years of Valve refurbishment experience in the Nuclear industry, predominantly with Crosby and Target Rock Valves + Performs duties comparable to that of a Senior Technician, utilizing the added skills and knowledge that comes with earning an Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a testing-related field + Designs, sets-up and performs a variety of test according to customer specifications and requirements + Requires very little supervision and technical input of a Department Manager, Principal Technician, Project Coordinator or Engineer + Possess the ability to mentor and train technicians who have less experience through effective communication of technical data + Ability to transfer technical knowledge/requirements and successfully satisfy and meet customer specifications •Skills / Qualifications•+ Working knowledge of laboratory safety + HS diploma or GED certificate preferred.

College or vocational school coursework welcomed + Possesses a recognized scientific or engineering qualification, normally at a Bachelor degree level and/or 6-8 years of significant experience in a testing related field through which an equivalent level of knowledge has been attained + In-depth understanding of testing concepts + Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed + Possess strong computer skills + Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus

+ Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate) + Lifting requirements: lifting 50 lbs. on occasion + Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time + Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
