Description:
Responsibilities:
Reviewing, editing, and following test procedures and processes. Operation of test facility and ground support equipment. Working with engineers on design concepts and facility improvements. Planning and executing assembly for complex mechanical systems. Safely working with hazardous chemicals and high pressure systems. Identify opportunities for continuous improvements to promote workplace safety.
Must be able to assemble, tool-up, and de-tool test components & test setups by using handtools, torque wrenches, gauges, hydraulic lifts, and electronic meters.
Qualifications:
0-3 years in assembly, test, automotive, rocket engine or jet engine testing, or rocket engine test facility support. Ability to work with test and flight safety critical hardware. Ability to work with standard mechanical tools and shop fabrication equipment. Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics. Ability to lift 40 lbs.; work in adverse weather conditions; climb stairs and ladders
Skill/Experience/Education:
Mandatory:
Read and interpret engineering instruction by use of computer applications (Jules). Must be mechanically inclined – experience using hand-tools and torque wrenches.
Desired Skills:
Prior assembly and testing background – Automotive or Aerospace. Skill_
