Full-Time INCOA is seeking an Industrial Electrician for its Theodore, Alabama facility. This position performs the essential functions of an instrumentation electrician for all plant electrical equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must perform all duties in a neat and workmanlike manner using the current National Electrical Code as a guide when Plant Standards do not supersede. Requires ability to climb and work from ladders. Requires the ability to work at high elevations and in tight spaces. Requires work in uncontrolled temperature environments with correct PPE (including arc flash PPE when necessary). A qualified candidate is able to: Adhere to all safety programs and policies Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial control systems, PLCs, networks, instrumentation and power distribution equipment. Perform PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, backup, and program documentation maintenance Perform Variable Frequency Drive installation, configuration, troubleshooting and backups Maintain, update, backup, and troubleshoot advanced operator interface equipment. Identify opportunities for automation to support continuous process improvement and plant safety initiatives Be proficient with ethernet based control systems and common industrial communication protocols Initiate, track, complete and document all plant electrical project work Instruct and train plant personnel on electrical procedures, safety precautions and documentation and insure the plant is following OSHA electrical requirements. Coordinate, update, and store plant electrical drawings Perform general maintenance support, as needed Install, maintain and troubleshoot lab testing equipment, fiber optic systems, printers and label machines. Troubleshoot standard line problems, perform work orders and PMs. Work from sketches, PFDs, P&IDs, manuals, verbal instructions, and drawings to design, assemble or install electrical equipment within the plant. Adjust or repair electrical and process control instruments on machinery and equipment. Work with vendors to identify any parts needed and make recommendations to the supervisor. Operate power lift equipment and overhead cranes when necessary.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED
High school diploma required; associates degree or equivalent preferred. Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 -10 years’ experience in object-oriented and PLC programming; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Background in Programmable Logic controllers, computer systems and electronics. Experience in electrical and mechanical service and maintenance. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations. PLC certificate and license preferred.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Must be able to stand, lift, bend, twist, walk and reach frequently Must be able to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb frequently Must be able to wear safety equipment and/or clothing for protection (PPE) daily Must be able to work in a high noise environment where the use of hearing protection is required Must be able to work in confined areas, high places, and around equipment in motion Must be able to work indoors/outdoors and in extreme hot or cold conditions Must be able to work amid fumes, dust, dirt, and smoke Must be able to work amid mechanical, electrical, chemical, and industrial hazards Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
