Maxwell AFB, AL Hourly rate: $37.00 – $42.00 Contractor benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401k 2nd
Shift:
3pm to 1:30am, but need to be available for 1st shift. This position requires an active Interim US Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of aviation maintenance experience.
- Microsoft office experience (excel, word, etc.).
- Testing, repair, and configuration experience.
Preferred:
- Military background.
- Experience helicopter maintenance.
- AMP experience.
Description:
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction. Day to
Day Responsibilities:
Troubleshoots integrated conventional weapons systems, electronic and electromechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, subassemblies, Alternate Mission Equipment, and test equipment to determine nature of malfunctions and corrective actions required both on and off equipment. Performs maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication and modification of integrated conventional weapons systems electronic and electro-mechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, and their subassemblies for both on and off equipment. Removes/installs integrated conventional weapons systems electronic components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, and subassemblies for both on and off equipment and associated test equipment. Performs pretest, operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, and final testing of integrated conventional weapon systems electronic components fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, and their subassemblies both on and off equipment. Accomplishes configuration changes of integrated conventional weapons control, launch, release, and suspension assemblies on assigned aircraft and equipment based on mission requirements. Performs explosive operations, loads and unloads, positions, arms, and safes all assigned conventional air munitions and pyrotechnics on assigned aircraft and or equipment.
