Engineering Test Technician Job Description As an Engineering Test Technician, you will troubleshoot and investigate problems related to the design and operations of test cells. You will ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, assist in designing systems for lab and production functions, and set up products for testing. Additionally, you will document findings, recommend improvements, and support the design and upkeep of lab data acquisition systems. Responsibilities + Troubleshoot and investigate analysis problems related to design and operations of test cells. + Verify laboratory equipment calibration. + Assist with designing systems for lab and production functions. + Set up products for testing and perform necessary steps for prescribed and specialized tests. + Investigate and troubleshoot test equipment-related problems and document findings. + Recommend corrective/improvement changes to Design Engineering. + Design and maintain lab data acquisition systems and support test data management. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Experience with test equipment, lab systems, process controls, and associated processes. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. + Proficient in computer skills and relevant software such as MS Office Suite. + Ability to work well in a matrix team environment. + Knowledge of instrumentation related to refrigeration and gas combustion equipment. + Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedures. + Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Work Environment The work environment involves engineering prototyping and research & development (R D). You will be working with HVAC systems, plumbing design, mechanical systems, and test equipment in a collaborative and innovative setting. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40000.00 – $55000.00/yr. Standard benefits. Relocation. Bonus.
