Job Summary:
The Automation Technician is responsible for wiring, assembling, testing, and fabricating control panels. This position assembles panels per a design package and ensures that company and customer requirements have been met. The Automation Technician must understand the importance of quality, attention to detail, and staying on task during production and willing to work accordingly. Essential Job Functions /
Responsibilities:
Understanding of electrical wiring and componentsAbility to read and decipher electromechanical drawingsMust be able to use basic hand toolsMust be able to use some power tools (ie. cordless drill, impact)Ability to read tape measure/rulerAbility to use a multimeter and loop power testing devicesCapability to perform light metal fabrication (ie. cutting and knocking out holes)Understanding of PLC logic and how they functionUnderstanding of wireless telemetry Education and/or
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of panel building experience.
Associates degree in electrical field.
