Education/Experience of Electrical Technician:
2 year Associates degree involving major study in electrical controls/Industrial equipment plus minimum 2 years experience.
Qualifications of Electrical Technician:
Knowledge of practical application of troubleshooting principles and use of necessary equipment. Applying basic electrical and control principles, techniques, procedures for maintaining and improving the equipment. Knowledge of tools and principles involved in production of precision equipment, blueprints, drawings. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Knowledge of Industrial motor controls, PLC’s and CNC controls is required. Capable of reading technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards. Electrical Technician:
Troubleshoot and maintain electrical instruments, equipment, and systems for commercial and industrial applications. Review manufacturing, installation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. Ensure installations and operations adhere to safety and operational standards. Plan and implement research methodologies to apply electrical theory to engineering projects. Oversee project production to ensure timely, satisfactory completion within budget, and assist with preparing specifications for material purchases.
