Fiber Optic Technician Precision Fiberoptics LLC Arkadelphia, AR 71923 Overview We are seeking a Fiber Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic networks. This role requires some understanding of telecommunication systems and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. As a Fiber Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of network services. Duties Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables in various environments. Conduct network installations and upgrades, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as fiber-optic light meters Perform routine maintenance on telecommunications equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with field service teams to troubleshoot network problems effectively. Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project status. Skills Proficient in Ethernet networking principles and fiber-optic practices preferred, but not necessary. Experience with cabling installation techniques for both fiber optic and copper networks. Familiarity with telecommunication systems and field service operations. knowledge related to network installations. Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in various settings. Understanding of network testing equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
