Job Description
EPS Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in the field of engineering technology and engineering procedures, materials, and equipment, including following work control procedures and documenting the disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly of mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with established quality control standards. Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, to use electrical tools and equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and soldering equipment for construction of items as described in the drawings, and to document test data and quality check lists accurately and legibly. Demonstrated knowledge in cabling and harness manufacturing in accordance with IPC-610 standard, and in electrical systems and cabling inspection in accordance with IPC-620 standard. Certification in soldering of electrical components in accordance with standard

J-STD-001

is desired. Training or certification to IPC (Institute of Printed Circuits) or Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) standards is required.
Requirements

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform assembly, integration, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, and testing of complex electrical and electronic systems used in manned and unmanned undersea vehicles including MK11 SDV, DCS, and SWCS.
  • Support the development, modification, and testing of electrical assemblies, including power distribution systems, communications, sonar, navigation, control/display systems, and associated cabling.
  • Follow and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation in accordance with IPC-A-610E and
IPC J-STD-001E

standards.

  • Execute electrical work including soldering, connectorization, cable fabrication, and system integration for waterproof and pressure-rated applications.
  • Conduct test and verification procedures on electrical subassemblies, prepare and review Objective Quality Evidence (OQE), and ensure work meets all NAVSEA, IPC, and program-specific quality requirements.
  • Support prototype development, system overhauls, and depot-level repairs, often under tight deadlines and during field support operations.
  • Interface with engineering staff to provide feedback during design, integration, and test phases, including redlining drawings and participating in design reviews.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience working on DoD, Navy, or submersible electrical systems in a technician capacity.
  • Experience with underwater electronics, waterproof cabling, and military-grade connectors.
  • Proven ability to work from engineering documentation to build, inspect, and test low- and high-voltage systems, signal and data buses, and embedded electronic components.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and calibrated test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and signal generators.
Required Skills and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree or Military Electrical/Electronic Technician Schooling preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
  • Certification or demonstrated proficiency in IPC-A-610 and
IPC J-STD-001

  • Strong understanding of military electrical safety practices, quality control standards, and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Ability to follow strict quality assurance procedures, interpret electrical test reports, and document non-conformances.
