We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. What You’ll Do The Engineering Technician (Locksmith) will be responsible for inspection, cleaning, servicing, lubricating, repair and testing of locks and associated hardware. Performs inspection, testing and services in a variety of operation areas but not limited to Safety, building automation, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding and carpentry. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for: Assist with installation and troubleshooting of C-Cure lock system. Assist with testing, troubleshooting fire detection and signaling systems. Responds to fire and smoke emergencies, and ensures the safety of employees, students, and visitors. Investigates fire and smoke mishaps, and reports on these to proper officials. Maintains and repairs vehicle including tractors, fork lifts, boom lifts, loaders, large trucks, and motorized carts. Maintains and repairs all small equipment used in the maintenance / locksmith area. Train Maintenance and Custodial Personnel on the proper use of assigned equipment. Operates computer and inputs data for preventive maintenance program as assigned by the facility work request systems (AiM’s). Performs general maintenance work as needed. Our ideal candidate will have:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Four (4) years of experience in the locksmith trade. An associate’s degree and two year of experience in HVAC, welding, carpentry, electrical or plumbing trades.
