Lead Technician Position Available In Miami-Dade, Florida

Lead Technician Menska Opa-locka, FL 33054 We’re looking for a Lead Technician to join a mobile maintenance team. This field-based role involves time-sensitive aircraft repairs in a variety of environments across the region. Representing the business while working independently, you’ll deliver high-quality service with minimal supervision, ensuring operational readiness and customer satisfaction. As the first technician in this position, you’ll need to be highly self-sufficient, technically skilled, and comfortable acting as the point person for both customers and internal stakeholders. This role also presents a leadership pathway, with the opportunity to mentor and support additional technicians as the team expands. Key Responsibilities Perform AOG and Line Maintenance Carry out inspections, repairs, and servicing of aircraft, including up to 2400-hour inspection packages Execute maintenance in accordance with FAA-approved technical data Troubleshoot issues effectively using technical manuals and support guidelines Complete all maintenance records, work orders, and Return to Service (RTS) paperwork accurately Manage parts procurement and returns for each assignment Communicate effectively with flight crews and internal support teams Conduct aircraft walkthroughs, service checks, and troubleshooting upon arrival Act as a Maintenance Controller when required Essential Experience & Skills Hands-on experience maintaining: Challenger experience desired, but not essential Strong mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving capabilities Skilled in interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and illustrated parts catalogs Capable of working at heights (up to 40 feet using fall protection) and in confined spaces Proficient with hand tools, ground support equipment, and standard digital tools Confident working independently and efficiently under pressure Comfortable using Apple and Microsoft Office platforms, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel Willing and able to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice and in varying weather conditions Certifications & Requirements Valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Valid Driver’s License Valid U.S.
