Description
The Depot Technician III, position maintains/repairs electronics in support of the Army’s Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) Program at Camp Humphreys, South Korea. This position is in support of the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS). This position is contingent upon contract award.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

The Depot Technician III position will perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment, including a variety of Training Devices
Performs preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions
Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting. manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents
Performs inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines
Use spare/repair parts to repair faults IAW technical guidelines
Capture and records accurate maintenance history ensuring corrective measures and repairs are documented
Applies basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems
Supervise, provide direction/guidance, and check lower-level technicians’ work
Ensuring that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner
Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance
Apply technical knowledge to perform tasks following detailed instructions, perform tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment
Research and select repair parts needed
Take test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
This position may require travel to other installations and other W-TRS locations May interface with Army or other military customer working at Command and Control (C2) facilities; contact company, government, and outside agencies to resolve non-standard maintenance issues; and provide technical advice and advanced troubleshooting procedures within established guidelines and company responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

5-7 years’ experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems
Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges
Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Proficiency with specialized testing equipment Experience in connector repair and electrical troubleshooting
Advanced mechanical aptitude with hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical equipment Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED
Electronic Technician certification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CAPABILITIES

Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
