Data/Fiber Optic Technician Confidential Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412 Data/Fiber Optic Technician Running new cabling in new or existing buildings. Termination and Testing of Cat 6 & Fiber Optic Cable Knowledge of fusion splicing and fiber terminations Troubleshooting of Cat 6 and Fiber Optic Cables. Reading and fully understanding blueprints and specifications. Knowledge of Fluke test equipment for copper and fiber/OTDR. 5+ years BICSI certified (not required, but a plus) Summary As a Data/Fiber Optic Technician, you will be instrumental in the installation and maintenance of telecommunication systems, focusing on cabling and fiber splicing. Reporting to the Field Service Manager, your role demands expertise in computer networking and hands-on experience with tools essential for service technician tasks. Your BICSI Certification will enhance your ability to ensure high-quality installations. With a strong foundation in Ethernet and telephony, you will contribute to seamless network operations while utilizing your mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
