Job Title:

Technician Job Description Seeking a Technician to provide engineering and build support for current products in nanomachining, laser-based, and cryogenic cleaning technologies. Responsibilities Build, test, and troubleshoot complex sub and system level assemblies. Setup and debug mechanical and optical assemblies using mechanical prints. Setup, test, and debug pneumatic assemblies using pneumatic schematics. Setup, test, and debug electrical assemblies using electrical schematics. Build assemblies with tolerances less than .001 inches. Provide and document timely feedback to the Engineering department on issues encountered during build processes. Perform and document incoming inspection of parts or assemblies according to written procedures. Create or update manufacturing or quality documentation/procedures. Support engineering through system level troubleshooting. Perform installation of products at customer sites, both domestic and international. Perform and document final testing of the equipment. Essential Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical or electronic assembly and testing. Ability to read blueprints, with pneumatic and optical experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers. Experience with functionality testing. Capability in machinery assembly and testing, especially complex circuits and machinery. Experience in reading schematics and build sheets. Experience with soldering. Background in ISO standards. Ability to build cables. Experience in a manufacturing or build technician position within the semiconductor industry. Experience with AFM and nanomachining technologies. Proficiency in MS Word & Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for sales support and customer interaction. Basic understanding of MRP systems. Work Environment The work environment is a mix of lab/clean room and desk settings. Most builds occur in the lab/cleanroom. The company is progressive, working with state-of-the-art machinery. The position involves an 8-hour shift with a flexible start time between 5 am and 9 am, and includes a 30-minute lunch break.
