Delve into the dynamics of troubleshooting, evaluating, calibrating, and mending both customer and company-owned equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth electronic and mechanical repairs, calibrating and evaluating equipment and products as needed. Handle assembly of optical products and various mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic devices according to detailed specifications and procedures. Execute soldering tasks on printed circuit boards and multiple connections, using test equipment for calibration and evaluation of products. Employ manual and automatic tools and equipment including DVM and oscilloscopes. Ensure production product operates correctly by rigorous testing to established criteria. Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems, identifying root causes and recommending solutions. Recognize setup failures and issues, isolating problems and taking necessary actions. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, using protective gear as required and reporting unsafe conditions. Maintain 5S standards and participate in continuous improvement activities. Rotate through various manufacturing processes, performing diverse tasks in a team environment. Guide and mentor other employees in techniques to ensure defect-free production. Conduct detailed experimental testing occasionally. Engage in tasks related to housekeeping to ensure a clean and organized work space.
Experience Requirements:
Three or more years of electronic diagnostic and component troubleshooting experience preferred. Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and multimeters is advantageous.
Educational Background:
An associate’s degree in electronics, accompanied by four years in electronic diagnostics is ideal. Equivalent certification with related experience will be considered if comparable electronics knowledge is demonstrated.
Knowledge Prerequisites:
Strong skills in problem-solving, with a good grasp of digital and analog systems. Ability to proficiently demonstrate advanced skills is essential.
Physical Abilities:
Capable of working at a bench height ranging from 37.5″ to 42″, moving, sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs as required.
