Description Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electronics Technician for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassembly units per procedures and standards Assemble units for production electronic equipment based on designs and specifications Adjust and calibrate electronic systems; troubleshoot and correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing components Utilize hand/power tools, test devices, and measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, frequency standards, signal generators) Analyze test results and provide input on product performance Support engineers in developing test procedures and recommend improvements for products or manufacturing methods Troubleshoot to the component level using schematic diagrams for analog and digital circuitry
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): 1 year of direct experience testing electronic assemblies Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state and digital circuits Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and data collection tools for maintenance documentation Experience with flying probe and high-power test equipment
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Familiarity with radar systems Experience with Vibration and Thermal Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Candidates with military “backshop” repair and troubleshooting backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree or demonstrated ability to perform technical tasks

Full-Time
4/10 work schedule
Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST
