White, GA Job Summary:

The Equipment Technician at our solar panel manufacturing plant in White, GA, is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment used in solar panel production. This role ensures machinery and equipment function optimally, supporting efficient production and minimizing downtime. The Equipment Technician will work closely with production teams to perform preventative maintenance, address technical issues, and uphold safety standards across the facility.

Schedule:
Training:

Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM (1 Week)

After Training:

6PM-6:30AM on a 2-2-3

Rotating Schedule Pay:

$24.00/HR + $1.00 (Night Shift Differential)

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance & Repair Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, including calibration, cleaning, and replacement of parts. Diagnose equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot technical issues, and execute repairs to minimize downtime. Use electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic tools to analyze equipment performance and implement effective repairs. Preventative Maintenance Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules to enhance the lifespan and reliability of equipment. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and any adjustments made. Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and proactively address them. Safety & Compliance Adhere to workplace safety standards, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, electrical safety, and machine guarding. Ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Report and resolve any unsafe conditions or practices observed on the production floor. Continuous Improvement & Documentation Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement improvements in equipment performance. Document repair activities, provide feedback on recurring issues, and suggest enhancements for reliability. Participate in training programs to stay current with industry best practices and technology advancements.

Qualifications:
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an equipment or maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment; experience in solar panel or electronics manufacturing is a plus.

Skills:

Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs. Strong understanding of maintenance tools and equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills to work effectively within a team.

Working Conditions:

The position may require standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects. Flexibility to work in shifts, overtime, and during emergencies, as required.
