Duties and responsibilities The primary job duties and responsibilities are: Repair, modify and maintain manufacturing equipment to insure products are in specification. Fabricates parts not commercially available, Troubleshoots electric controls, motor control centers and programmable logic controls. Communicates on all project needs with Maintenance & Production Supervisors/Managers. Assist (as required) in the training & skill up grading of other maintenance and production personnel Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area. Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision. Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards. Maintains excellent safety record. Maintains excellent attendance record. Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Experience required:
Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience. At least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities. At least three (3) years of experience in mechanics. At least three (3) years of experience in controls. Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures. Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred. Skills An individual must have the following skills in the Electro Mechanic position: Interpersonal skills. Strong sense of urgency. Must have good written and verbal communication skills Intermediate computer knowledge. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision. PLC ladder diagram reading. Full understanding of all levels of wiring diagrams. Physical requirements This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to: Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent) Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent) Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional) Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent) Working conditions An individual that works in the Electro Mechanic position: Proficient to expert electrical and controls knowledge; Allen Bradley experience preferred. Must be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis, and work in a hot/cold environment. Must have a proficient knowledge of hand, power, and diagnostic tools. Must have personal tools up to one (1) inch. Education High School Diploma or GED required.
