Electronics Technician 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Villa Rica, GA Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an Electronics Technician position for their VR2 facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

82 depending on experience Additional $2.50 per hour for the night shift premium
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. Electronics Technology Degree or Certification and/or advanced training Ability to run and manage projects from start to finish Ability to support all plant functions Ability to train others 3+ years control system hardware and software design experience Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC) 3 to 5 years of experience as an Electronics Technician or similar function requiring Industrial controls experience is highly preferred Electronics Technician competencies: Proficient in electrical/electronic systems/troubleshooting Ability to work and troubleshoot PLC’s, ladder logic, and communication systems Understand and manipulate industrial communications Troubleshoot Servo Motors Troubleshoot AC/DC drives Basic knowledge and understanding in process control systems such as: temperature control, pressure control, flow control and PID control loops Proficient in troubleshooting basic electrical circuits Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings Competent in

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment, including motor relays, circuit breakers, machine and process controls, circuits, and electrical distribution systems Modify machinery logic systems (PLC’s) and PC based systems and requires working knowledge of DC/AC drives in function and as they relate to an overall web-handling process, Allen Bradley, Eurotherm and Omron PLCs Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams Acquire/requisition spare parts related to power distribution and all electrical and electronic systems Make electrical modifications and upgrades to current equipment and installation of new equipment with the ability to run conduit and size wiring systems Review specifications and acquires power distribution materials needed for new equipment installations Work outside the electronic/electrical area is expected when capable or when assisting another associate Effective communication with corporate engineering, vendors, internal customers and working on teams Proficient in computerized maintenance software Communicate actions taken to repair the machine to Operator and/or Lead Document parts used and repairs completed in management system Demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standards Function as a fire crew member Function as a first responder for medical/first aid Maintain fire and security systems EOE F/M/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disabled/Vet Printpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
