The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic schematics and the ability to work with various tools and technologies. The Electronics Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
Essential Functions :
1. Demonstrates technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting. . 2. Performs the installation and functionally testing of electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft per Engineering specifications, drawings and maintenance manuals ensuring a defect free system. . 3. Ensures quality and efficiency of all installations: troubleshoots processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems. . 4. Demonstrates the skills and knowledge required to effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity. Demonstrates effective repair techniques using acceptable practices including splicing, soldering and pinning of wiring. . 5. Performs and complies with engineering changes and modifications as required. . 6. Sets up and operates necessary test equipment. Conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electronic systems and components using appropriate tools and techniques. Maintain and service electronic equipment, ensuring optimal performance. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Utilize hand tools and testing equipment, including ohmmeters, to perform repairs. Assist in the installation of low voltage systems as required. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service quality. Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately for future reference. Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends related to electronics. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems. Experience as a service technician with a focus on electronics repair. Proficient in maintaining various types of electronic equipment. Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings. Competence in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair. Knowledge of computer networking principles is a plus. Ability to work with hand tools effectively for repairs and installations. Understanding of low voltage electrical systems is desirable.
