Utility Facility Technician 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 310 Broad Street, Rome, GA 30161 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the operational efficiency of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and expertise in various technical disciplines, ensuring that all systems function optimally and safely. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC/R systems, low voltage systems, and industrial machinery. Ensuring that all systems (CCR monitoring / PCW / CT / CH / CDA / HVAC / FF / GCS / N2 / AR Rec. / ETC) and equipment are functioning efficiently and performing according to established SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) to support the production process. Perform stick welding and other welding tasks as needed to support equipment maintenance and fabrication projects. Troubleshoot and repair logic controllers and other automated systems to ensure seamless operations. Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide insights on facility capabilities and improvements. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies. Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Respond promptly to facility-related issues or emergencies, minimizing downtime for operations.
Gas / Chemical
loading & unloading Waste Chemical unloading Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Proficiency in stick welding techniques and practices. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems and their applications in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively. Experience working with logic controllers and automated systems is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various departments within the organization.
