Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable PLC Technician with hands-on experience in conveyor systems to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC-controlled conveyor systems across various customer sites. This position involves up to 50% travel , providing field support and system upgrades across regional and national locations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical automation, system integration, and mechanical troubleshooting, with a commitment to safety and high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

Program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) to optimize conveyor system performance. Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades of automated conveyor lines. Collaborate with project engineers to implement system improvements and integrations. Read and modify electrical schematics using AutoCAD. Conduct regular maintenance inspections using ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools. Utilize vision inspection systems for quality control and fault detection. Assist with electrical and instrumentation (E&I) project execution, including wiring, sensors, and controls. Document all maintenance, programming changes, and field service activities accurately. Provide technical support and exceptional customer service to clients during on-site visits. Maintain compliance with all safety protocols , including lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a PLC Technician, preferably in a conveyor or material handling environment. Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (ladder logic, function block, structured text). Proficient in AutoCAD and reading/modifying electrical schematics. Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems , including motors, drives, and sensors. Experience with vision inspection systems is a plus. Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% , including overnight stays. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing field conditions.

Preferred:

Experience in warehouse automation, logistics, or packaging industries. Familiarity with SCADA systems and HMI configuration. Electrical certification or associate degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Why Join Us?
