Impact:
Developing calibration work schedules for equipment and scheduling such activities with supervision to ensure maximum uptime of related equipment. Performing calibration, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation. Reviewing and approving calibrations performed on equipment by both internal and external calibrators. Providing technical input and evaluations for calibrations of instrumentation. Researching the operating specifications of new equipment, obtaining suitable standards, and establishing the calibration acceptance criteria. Writing required standard operating procedures, standard certification methods, and other instructions in compliance with FDA, USP, NIST or other applicable guidelines for equipment. Initiating, executing, and closing out corrective actions and change control requests for changes affecting calibration of laboratory and manufacturing equipment. Assisting validation personnel with execution of validation of instrumentation Attending on a regular and reliable full-time basis. Exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices. Role:
Generally, four (4) years of experience in metrology in a regulated environment with an associate degree in a science or engineering discipline. Equivalent trade, military, or relevant technical training may be considered in lieu of formal degree. ASQ (American Society of Quality) Calibration Technician Certification (or equivalent) may also be considered in lieu of formal degree. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to changes in work environment, work assignments, and changes in priorities. Excellent organization, time management, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Ability to use analytical and decision-making skills to offer options and resolve problems. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
