We are seeking a highly skilled Tooling and Machine Specialist with deep expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems to support our high-speed beverage production lines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, minimal downtime, and continuous improvement of all automated machinery and tooling systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues across beverage production equipment.
- Maintain, adjust, and optimize tooling components to ensure high efficiency and product quality.
- Program, monitor, and troubleshoot PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar platforms).
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment performance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and document all maintenance activities and system changes.
- Assist in equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning of new tooling systems.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and machine manuals.
- Train operators and maintenance staff on machine use and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
- Proven expertise in PLC programming and diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial automation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SCADA systems and HMI interfaces.
- Knowledge of TPM and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Working Conditions:
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends or on-call rotations.
- Physical ability to work on production floor: lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
