Join our Snacks plant in Rome, GA as a PLC ElectricalTechnician. This is an on-site night shift position, working nightshift Monday Friday. In this role,you will play a crucial part in identifying and preventing issuesin the plant environment. The safety of our employees and productsis paramount, and as a PLC Electrical Technician, youll help usachieve our safety goals by proactively addressing issues orconcerns. Youll also share your knowledge of safety rules andregulatory compliance with your colleagues, making the workplacesafer and more productive.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing Ensuring Safety Compliance Comply with employee safetypolicies, GMP, OSHA Safety and Health rules, and food safetypolicies and procedures. Maintaining Equipment Install and maintain all electrical andelectronic plant and production equipment, including motors,controls, PLCs, AC/DC drives, and computerized controls. Troubleshooting Minimize downtime by fast and accuratetroubleshooting of PLC programs and electrical/electronic circuitsand equipment. Preventive Maintenance Perform preventive/predictivemaintenance on plant and production electrical and electronicequipment. Consulting on Controls Serve as an electrical/electroniccontrols consultant with the installation of new equipment andexisting equipment.
We’re Looking for Someone With Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the principles ofelectricity and electronics. Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship or 8000 hours ofpractical experience and training in this area, or a 2-yearAssociate Degree in electrical/electrical technology, or 4 yearselectrical experience in a heavy industrial environment, orJourneyman status from a recognized state department of labor or USDepartment of Labor program. Experience troubleshooting PLC programs and hardware. Experience with Allen-Bradley RS Logix software and HMIcontrol. Working knowledge of the National Electric Code. Ability to read and interpret electrical andelectronic/mechanical drawings, prints, schematics, and computerprograms. Ability to operate and interpret all types of electrical testequipment and troubleshoot and repair all types ofelectrical/electronic circuits and equipment.
