Videos Duties Major duties for the position include (but are not limited to): Administrively managing all medical instrumention technicians within the cardiology non-invasive laborory, including ECG, Vascular, Holter and Echocardiography technicians; Ensuring th subordines are aware of and follow hospital and unit policies and procedure; Coordining human resources issues including recruitment and employee relions/labor relions issues and pay/leave administrion; Working closely with schedulers and cardiology nurses to ensure th there is always approprie staffing of the non-invasive cardiology laborory; Interacting with clerical staff and pients to inform them of ay cancellions or the need to reschedule studies; Ensuring th all subordines have maintained mandory training for their respective roles; Working with vendors to ensure both hardware and software are upgraded as approprie; Helping approve consults for non-invasive studies, ensure th studies are appropriely linked to the correct consults, and ensure consults are closed in a timely manner; Identifying and recording anomalies indicive of disease, injury, or other medically significant condition from ultrasound imaging and simultaneous recordings of the Doppler; Changing and developing sounding techniques to accommode such variables as limited pient mobility, variion in physical condition or dimension of the pient, presence of prosthesis or foreign objects and ultrasonic response of different body parts; Producing diagnostic quality images and Doppler frequency recordings using M-mode, two-dimensional, three
- dimensional and Doppler ultrasound, blood pressure measurements, and volume plethysmography; Utilizing word processing or specialized software to execute several functions such as storing and retrieving electronic documents and files; Ensuring clerk text orders and consults for procedures in Cardiology are reviewed timely and all pient appointments are scheduled appropriely, following all scheduling directives, guidelines, goals and requirements; Helping approve consults for non-invasive studies, ensuring th studies are appropriely linked to the correct consults, and ensuring consults are closed in a timely manner.
