Houma, LA Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to support our lead technician in the field. This is an entry-level position focused on assisting with basic electrical work and PLC system troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of electrical systems and a strong desire to learn more about industrial automation and controls.

Job Requirements:

Education & Background:

High school diploma or GED required Trade school certification or relevant coursework in electrical or automation fields preferred 0-2 years of experience in an electrical or technician role

Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of electrical principles (voltage, current, wiring, circuit breakers, etc.) Ability to use hand tools, multimeters, and basic diagnostic equipment Familiarity with PLCs (e.g., Siemens, IDEC) is a plus but not required Ability to read or learn to read wiring diagrams and schematics

Strong problem-solving mindset Excellent communication and listening skills Willingness to follow direction and ask questions Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Professional attitude and willingness to work in a team setting

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in industrial environments, including confined spaces or elevated areas Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

Other:
