Job Description:

As an Assistant Technician, you will be performing engineering support duties in a variety of engineering specialties. The Assistant Technician works with a team on assigned highway projects as an entry level Designer, Estimator and Construction Inspector. During construction season, this position will act an Inspector, ensuring the contractor is complying with specifications and documenting the work completed. When inspecting construction activities, you may be required to work overtime hours, some nights and weekends depending on the contractor’s schedule. Winter assignments may include detailing, designing, and estimating quantities for highway led design projects. To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience: Three (3) years of experience in engineering or a related technical field-OR

  • an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.
