Charlotte Street, Kansas City, MO 64106 Electronics Repair technician Job description Kansas City technology startup FireBoard Labs is seeking a skilled PCB Repair Technician to join our team. This hands-on role is focused on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electronics, be detail-oriented, and enjoy solving complex problems with precision. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in PCBs using schematics and test equipment. Repair and replace damaged components and traces. Perform soldering and desoldering of SMT and THT components using appropriate tools. Test and verify board functionality using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools. Document all repair actions, replacements, and test results thoroughly. Key Qualifications Foundational electronics knowledge : Ability to read electrical schematics; strong understanding of circuits and components. Soldering skills : Proficient in precise soldering and desoldering of SMT and THT parts. Test equipment proficiency : Experience with tools such as multimeters, and oscilloscopes. Mechanical aptitude : Comfortable working with small parts and precision tools. Computer literacy : Capable of using software for schematics, repair logs, and documentation.
