Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Prepares ladder logic programs (PLC) and humanmachine interface (HMI) design for custom precision cleaning andwet processing tools for worldwide applications. Performs hands onstartup of equipment on-site in a class 100 clean room.

DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews and assesses project sales specificationswith consideration for system safety, functionality, andmanufacturing feasibility in order to prepare PLC ladder logic, HMIdesign, Facility host interface database and associateddocumentation. Assists with electrical designs, P&ID drawings,and I/O lists, following engineering specifications. Responsiblefor systems control, state machines, power management, and systemfunctionality including all communications within, to and from thesystem. Provide hands on support for engineering designs in amanufacturing environment, including start up and troubleshootingof new equipment. Startup of equipment is typically performed in a100-Class clean room environment. Completes engineering tasks ontime to meet system manufacturing timelines and dates for on timeproject completion. Works cooperatively with all project teammembers in coordinating designs for accurate and efficientmanufacturing. Communicates design constraints and works within theteam to achieve effective solutions. Responsible for supporting thefield service department with software questions and issues onequipment in the field. This includes analyzing code to find theroot cause of errors and revising code as required to resolve thesituation while ensuring other aspects of the project are notnegatively affected. Assist in continuous process improvements witha willingness to contribute positively to discussions. Ability toread and understand electrical and plumbing schematics. Responsiblefor other duties and tasks as assigned and, in some circumstances,may be completely unrelated to this position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, Electrical or Computerpreferred. Ability to read and understand electrical and plumbingschematics. Ability to effectively and clearly present and expresswritten and verbal information to individuals and/or groupsrequired. Ability to work and contribute within a team. Ability toquickly learn and adapt to JST practices and JST specific ladderlogic and HMI design. Experience with Programmable LogicControllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) designsdesired. Rockwell Automation experience preferred (Studio 5000,FactoryTalk View SE/ME) Ethernet, Modbus, and Serial communicationknowledge preferred. Knowledge of

SECS/GEM

communication protocol aplus. Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally ifprojects permit.
