Wiring Technician Smith+Griffin 6562 Highway 178 W, Byhalia, MS 38611 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wiring Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for routing and securing wiring harnesses in vehicles, testing connections, troubleshooting electrical issues in vehicles, using tools such as multimeter, wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience with hand tools, computer hardware, and low voltage (12V & 24V) systems. This position requires a commitment to quality and safety while working independently or as part of a team. Duties Assemble and route wire harnesses according to specifications and schematics. Utilize hand tools as described and equipment such as voltmeters to test electrical connections. Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and testing results. Troubleshoot issues related to wiring and connectivity in electronic systems. Perform field service tasks as needed, ensuring proper installation and functionality of wire harnesses. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve assembly processes and product quality. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all operations. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in wiring or electrical assembly. Proficient in using hand tools, voltmeters and other relevant equipment. Ability to work with low voltage systems effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
