PROBE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

The Probe Repair Technician position is responsible for utilizing precision tools to diagnose, refurbish, and repair Ultrasound Transducers (aka Ultrasound Probes).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
(Essential Job Functions)
Completes transducer repairs according to work order and quality procedures. This includes working with repair team to perform all repairs against due date and lab metrics.
Utilizes ultrasound machines and test equipment to perform quality testing of probes, including quality control forms, scan shots, and first call tests.
Maintains probe files and accurately documents probe repair process including, but not limited to, recording interim quality checks and/or any issues with repair.
Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment, and/or material to supervisor.
Supports repair team in the evaluation of probes as equipment enters and leaves the repair lab. This includes documentation of evaluation, testing for proper functioning, troubleshooting and identification of equipment failures.
Complies with policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per
ISO:
13485 2016 standards and the Company’s Quality Management System.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED required; 2-year technical degree in electronics repair or other relevant course of study or equivalent/Military experience preferred
1 to 3 years professional experience working with small fragile parts required; experience with mechanical assembly, soldering and/or replacement parts a plus
Other Qualifications:
Ability to stay focused for long periods of time and not be easily distracted are essential to be successful in this role
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential and required
Must be able to review, analyze, and comprehend as well as write reports and procedure manuals
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook required; ERP experience a plus
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines required
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills required
Ability to work with others in a team environment to complete projects required

POSITION COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Work-hours are currently M-F, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, and are subject to change based on department workload
Competitive hourly rate in the range of $20.00 to $26.00, commensurate with experience
