Full-Time Job Summary:

The Laser Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing a shift on CID’s Laser team. The team will consist of 3-4 people that run a single 20KW Fiber Laser. The shift will be Friday-Sunday (approximately a 36-hour work week). This position offers a shift differential to compensate for the shorter work week. A potential candidate should have experience running and operating a laser-cutting machine. The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Daily Operations:

Manage a shift within the Laser Department, ensuring efficient operation of the 20k

W Fiber Laser Quality:

manage cut quality, regularly inspecting for accuracy and implement corrective actions for defects or inconsistencies Manage changeovers: CID runs 10 different plate steel thicknesses

Preventative Maintenance:

Ensure all PM’s are performed correctly and in a timely manner

Qualifications & Skills:

At least 1-2+ years of experience running a Fiber Laser, with demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification. Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to enforce compliance among team members.
