Test, analyze and interpret test data to troubleshoot a variety ofelectronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical electronic systems,sub-assemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according tospecifications or to determine cause of unit failure by performingthe following duties. Coordinate with engineers, productionpersonnel and supervisor in solving issues regarding any testfixtures or components (such as cables, transistors, diodes,relays, etc. on printed circuit boards or panels). Assembleselectronic components, subassemblies, products or systems accordingto customer requirements and quality specifications Essential Duties & Responsibilities Reads work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiringdiagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure andequipment to be used. Advance troubleshooting and repair of control panels, PCB’s, wireharnesses, etc. by utilizing equipment such as oscilloscope, signalgenerator, frequency meter, spectrum analyzer, etc. (determinecause of failure and record such defects) Coordinates with engineers, technicians, production personnel, andother regarding testing procedures, results and to how resolveproblems Initiates computer programs to control semiconductor devices andelectronic component test equipment prior to testing Installs, programs, or repair automated machinery and equipmentsuch as robots or programmable controllers. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools andpower tools, and reassemble equipment. Assembles medium/heavy and medium/high complexity level controlpanel assemblies Perform mechanical and/or control panel assembly utilizing toolssuch as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, socket sets, etc. Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, relays, pcbassemblies, breakers, switches, terminal blocks, etc. on chassispanels. Connects wiring harnesses and individual wires from/to componentssuch as breakers, pcb assemblies, switches, terminal blocks,connectors, relays, etc. Work in other areas of the company as and when needed by thesupervisors The intent of this description is not to be all inclusive. Education and / or Experience Associate’s degree or equivalent two-year college or technicalschool Two years related experience and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularlyrequired to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required tosit. The employee is required to stand, walk and/or sit. Theemployee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds andoccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision, distancevision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception andability to adjust focus.
