As an electrical andinstrumentation technician, you will be responsible for maintainingthe electrical and instrumentation equipment at the productionfacility. The individual will be responsible for performing routinemaintenance of the facility’s electrical equipment. About the
Role:
Some of your day-to-day duties include: Inspects, tests, adjusts,calibrates, and repairs electric, electronic, mechanical, andpneumatic instruments and systems used to indicate, and recordInspects meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormalfluctuations Maintains a functional knowledge of the operationssoftware and hardware Make preventative maintenance inspections ofall control instrumentation Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic,pneumatic, and mechanical failures and the aptitude to correctthose failures Complete work order cycles, performs work, confirmtime, and enter equipment history Diagnoses existing or potentialtrouble with plant electrical equipment Cleans, lubricates,calibrates, and adjusts as conditions indicate Lays out, installs,and places electrical equipment into service Performs housekeepingduties as requested, is responsible for keeping designated areaclean and clear of safety hazards Multi-craft skill set is a plus;ability to perform additional maintenance tasks as assigned Who youare?
You possess the following:
High school diploma or equivalentrequired Technical degree preferred 5 years industrial maintenanceexperience Ability to adapt to working within a team or loneworking environment, with minimal supervision Maintain and adjustequipment to maximize production and minimize downtime Experiencewith Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); Must haveexperience with Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo and FrequencyDrives Must have a professional attitude and work well with othersPromote a safe working environment and follow all workplace and jobsafety procedures Perform/coordinate good housekeeping in thefacility Must be willing to work shift which includes weekends,nights, and holidays What’s it like to work at Drax?
