Responsibilities of the position:
- Set reliability goals for parts, systems, and assemblies.
- Create metrics and KPIs to track performance and improvements like PM/CM ratio, MTBF, MTTR, etc.
- Offer technical support for equipment and reliability problems.
- Analyze live data in detail.
- Lead investigations for any equipment incidents or accidents in the plant.
- Manage compliance programs like PM and predictive analysis.
- Guide testing and inspections for new and existing equipment.
- Work with the Process Development team on designing and sourcing custom equipment for new products.
- Keep Assembly Lines running smoothly to hit performance and product quality targets.
- Organize and lead maintenance staff to focus on machine performance issues based on monitoring and leadership tasks.
- Help set up an annual machine rebuild plan focused on Predictive Reliability or Condition-Based Maintenance.
- Ensure all safety rules and procedures are followed.
- Be fully familiar with production documents, SOPs, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate department projects to meet deadlines and targets.
- Create training materials to improve the team’s understanding of equipment and processes.
- Be flexible enough to offer training for off-shift workers on updates, new equipment, or areas that need attention
- Lockout/Tagout
- Work with production to handle assembly line downtime or stoppages for repairs and maintenance.
- Make full use of quality and machine monitoring systems.
- Provide technical training.
- Come up with solutions that improve efficiency Job requirements:
- Background in engineering or tech, especially in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or automation.
- Strong analytical skills: You’ll need to dig into complex systems and data to find any reliability issues.
Problem-solving:
You should be good at figuring out what’s causing problems and coming up with practical solutions.
Communication:
You’ll need to explain technical stuff in a way that’s easy to understand for everyone.
- Attention to detail: Being thorough is important to catch any issues and make sure your work is spot on.
- Project management: You should be able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Always learning: Keeping up with the latest trends and tech in the industry.
- A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or something similar).
- Experience or focus on manufacturing maintenance (or equivalent experience).
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Must pass a pre-employment exam/qualification test.
