Closing Date 08/01/2025 NC 09 Hourly Non-Certified Schedule High School diploma or equivalent, supplemented by specialized electronics training or related field.
Two years of increasingly responsible experience in electronics. (Five years of Commercial Electronics experience preferred)
Ability to obtain a Class A CDL
Knowledge of the full range of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the electronic maintenance and repair of school system electronic equipment
Knowledge of electrical and electronic theories and practices. Operate a variety of tools and equipment used in audiovisual, electronic and computer repair and maintenance.
Operate a variety of electrical and electronic test equipment including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, audio frequency generators, capacity testers and soldering irons.
Service, repair and maintain all types of electronic and audiovisual equipment including cameras, radios, phonographs, tape recorders, and other electronic devises.
Install, maintain and repair bells, clocks, fire alarms, closed circuit television systems, intercom systems, pubic address systems, and lighting circuits.
Maintain adequate records and prepare reports on installations, repairs and services performed.
Interpret schematic drawings, blueprints and specifications.
Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and supplies; drive, inspect and maintain stock of parts for service vehicles.
Design and build testing and specialty equipment not available commercially. # of Jobs 2.00
