We are looking for 2 Process Techs on 1st and 3rd shift for our Salisbury, NC facility! Job Description Lead the technical maintenance and operation of highly automated SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) molding presses, including automation and robotic systems. Ensure maximum equipment uptime by identifying root causes of hardware and/or PLC logic issues and implementing corrective actions. Perform real-time troubleshooting and adjustments to improve process stability and part quality. Communicate equipment status in daily and periodic reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Assist with tooling changes, process setups, and machine parameter optimization to ensure consistent production output. Maintain a problem-solving mindset and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt on the job. Support flexible shift schedules as necessary to accommodate production demands and critical troubleshooting activities. Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations, including lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment; experience in automotive or composite manufacturing preferred. Hands-on experience with Fanuc robots, PLCs, and automation systems; specialty technical training is a plus. Working knowledge of compression molding processes, including material handling and mold changeovers. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation issues. Basic maintenance and cleaning capabilities to support optimal equipment performance. Ability to work independently and within a team to meet production goals and quality standards.
