Fiber Optics Technician Health Bridge Tech Henderson, NC We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various tools and equipment used in telecommunications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables in accordance with industry standards. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to perform installations and repairs. Conduct routine maintenance on fiber optic systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot issues related to low voltage electrical systems and resolve them efficiently. Collaborate with team members to telecommunicate project updates and technical information effectively. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details and service reports. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on-site. Experience Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in the telecommunications industry is preferred. Familiarity with Ethernet technology and low voltage systems is highly desirable. Proficient in using various hand tools and testing equipment related to fiber optics. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
