Coax Splicer
DESCRIPTION A
Coax Fiber Splicer is responsible forsplicing new build and/or upgrade coaxial cable plant. Thisposition requires frequent travel in which the employee would beaway from home. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Place andinstall coaxial cable Install passive/active devices, pedestals,vaults or coax splice cases Splice active and passive CATVequipment Rough balance and troubleshoot coaxial cable plant Readblueprints, CATV design maps and basic electronic designs Operateaerial lift and other related equipment to perform job functionsFrequently communicate with management on workload status Mayoccasionally perform routine construction work such as pullingrope/cables, climbing ladders, using hand tools, digging with ashovel, etc. Accurately complete all required company documentationor each assignment according to established company standards andprocedures ie timesheet, truck report, expense report) Responsiblefor assigned company vehicle, tools, materials and equipmentPerform work in a safe manner and comply with all establishedcompany safety policies and procedures Perform other duties andtasks as assigned in order to help team complete a project
